Barnard Griffin is “Washington’s Premier Family Owned Winery”

§  Celebrated its 30th Anniversary in 2013.  Barnard Griffin was started in 1983 by winery owners and Washington Wine Pioneers: Deborah Barnard and Rob Griffin
 
§  On a continuous basis, Rob Griffin has been making wine longer than anyone else in the state of Washington.  Rob started making Washington wines in 1977
 
§  Rob Griffin named Honorary Vintner by the 2010 Auction of Washington Wines
 
§  Barnard Griffin Winery consistently ranks as one of the Top 10 largest wineries in Washington State
 
§  Washington is the second largest premium wine producing state in the United States with over 700 wineries, 350+ wine grape growers, 40+ Varietals, Thirteen American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) and over 50,000 vineyard acres
 
§  Barnard Griffin produces over 65,000 cases of wine each year
 
§  The winery works closely with small family growers and favors long-term contracts with dedicated acreage for vineyard continuity and quality
 
§  The winery is located in Richland, WA; which is part of the Tri-Cities area in Eastern Washington and is an important stop on any tour of Washington’s best wineries

§  Barnard Griffin Winery is the only winery in the United States that contains a glass arts studio producing artisan works of fused glass: “db Studio.”  The glass artist is Deborah Barnard, co-owner of the winery.  Glass works are on display and available for sale in the studio’s Gallery

§  The winery launched their restaurant in 2012 which focuses on farm to fork cuisine
