Vintage Notes

The 2003 White Riesling has good depth and acidity to carry it with food. It has overtones of peaches and tropical fruit. I built this wine in an off-dry style while preserving the distinct acidity that we have here in Washington State.

Vineyards

The 2003 Vintage year was a non-typical very warm harvest. We began with a warm dry spring followed by an equally hot summer and a long dry fall. This resulted in wines of good character and grip. The White Riesling is 100% from the Caroway Vineyard in Finley, Washington. Caroway Vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards and produces some of the best White Riesling in Washington State.
