Vintage Notes

The 2005 Rose of Sangiovese carries the wonderful aromas of fresh strawberries. This is a dry “French” style Rose with great depth and character. It is fruity yet dry, which allows it to be served with almost any summer food. Good acidity mingle with the soft fruit flavors of 100% Sangiovese. What could be better: 100% Sangiovese, 100% Rose and 100% Delicious!!

Vineyards

2005 vintage year was another perfect ripening Washington state vintage. That meaning a warm summer followed by a cool but dry fall for longer ripening. The wines from 2005 are incredibly full with both great acidity and sugars at harvest.

The 2005 Rose of Sangiovese is the perfect example of what can happen with a great vintage and a great idea!! There was only 1 vineyard used in the making of my 2005 Rose of Sangiovese.

Petit Verdot

Offers embracing aromas of vanilla, mocha and clove with menthol and leather accents.  The dense, well-concentrated character  boasts an exotic core of high-toned pomegranate, candied orange peel and subtle sassafras flavors.  Be creative in your food pairings with this impressive, young red.  Spicy Greek cuisine anyone?
