Notable Quote:
“In the Northwest, zinfandel thrives in the eastern end of the Columbia Gorge. The Gunkel brothers, Dan and Ron, are masters at the technologically challenging job of maturing zinfandel fruit in their vineyards at Maryhill, Washington. The difficulty with zin is achieving uniform ripeness and flavor. The Gunkels have vast experience with Washington zinfandel and we believe their fruit stands unchallenged as the best in the region. The harvest of 2006 was a very warm growing season and produced zinfandel with full, ripe flavors.” Rob Griffin

Vintage Notes

Deep, perfumed aromas of plum and dark cherry join smoke and wood spice. Juicy acidity lends buoyancy to assertive plum, spicy baked apple, licorice and black currant flavors. What a great zin to accompany those special get-togethers with friends and family!
