Vintage Notes

Fragrant tangerine and lime with discreet wood-spice notes.  Mouthful of explosive fruit flavors that go on and on.  Absolutely gorgeous Chardonnay!  Could be very exciting with poultry or white-sauced pasta dishes.

Vintage

2008 was a growing season with substantial differences from the previous sequence of vintages.  The total heat units were nearly on the average but the timing was quite delayed. A cool late spring was followed by a generally moderate, temperate summer.  Harvest commenced almost two weeks later than in recent vintages and almost all varieties retained considerable natural acidity and developed generous varietal character.  Autumn in our contract vineyards was warm and long and allowed for maturity in late season varieties without excesses of sugar and alcohol in the wines.

2007 Petit Verdot

2007 Reserve

Petit Verdot

Offers embracing aromas of vanilla, mocha and clove with menthol and leather accents.  The dense, well-concentrated character  boasts an exotic core of high-toned pomegranate, candied orange peel and subtle sassafras flavors.  Be creative in your food pairings with this impressive, young red.  Spicy Greek cuisine anyone?
