Vintage Notes

Exotic, fragrant nose of orange, lime and ripe fig. Hugely viscous, extremely full mouthfeel accompanied by delicious pink grapefruit, orange, ripe fig and canned pineapple fruit. Gunkel Vineyard (Columbia Valley, Eastern Columbia River Gorge)

Vintage

The 2007 growing season was typical of recent vintages. A warm early spring was followed by an average temperately warm summer. The virtues of the dry, warm summer climate of the Columbia Valley coupled with mild September temperatures made for good acid retention and complete flavor development in both early and late season varieties. The autumn was long and mildly warm without danger of premature freeze damage and ended on schedule with very ripe flavorful grapes.

A dry Sangiovese Rose tour de force! Boasts a range of complex flavors built around racy strawberry and tart orange with hints of melon rind and peach. Impresses because of its perfect balance between rich, concentrated flavors and mouthwatering acidity. Very food friendly, but also well suited for hot summer day sipping by the pool or on the deck.
