Vintage Notes
2003 Rosé of Sangiovese is my new favorite summer wine. 100% Sangiovese with a light salmon color. The nose shows hints of wild strawberries and pomegranate. This is a serious food wine with subtle tannins and a fruity yet dry finish. What’s not to like…pink, trendy, Italian varietal and 100% delicious.

Vineyards
The 2003 growing season was one of the hottest and ripest on record. A consistent warm spring and hot summer, followed by a long fall, was ideal. Sugars were high but the acids look very good throughout the Balcom and Moe vineyard where our Sangiovese was grown. The vineyard sources are simple for this one:
