2006 Chardonnay shows a rich buttery wine with firm acidity and great hints of the 52% barrel fermentation that went into making this wine. The finish is rich, balanced and mouth filling. There is a hint of green apple in the mid-pallet that adds to the complexity of this wine
Pear, vanilla and candied ginger nose, with hazelnut and wood accents. Ripe apple, orange, and pear flavors in the mouth buoyed by rich, cleansing, juicy acidity. Boasts a round, minerally finish. Delicious as an aperitif or quite versatile with a broad range of food pairings.

The 2006 growing season was again a long and consistently hot vintage. A warm spring and hot summer followed by a long fall was ideal. Sugars were high but the acids looked excellent throughout the Chardonnay fruit that I saw in the vineyards. The vineyard sources are as follows:
Conner Lee Vineyard Columbia Valley/Columbia Basin
Wahluke Slope Vineyard Columbia Valley/Wahluke Slope
Caroway Vineyard Columbia Valley/Columbia Basin
Crawford Vineyard Columbia Valley/Yakima River
