Rob leaves position at Hogue to devote full energy to Barnard  Griffin

Rob moves to Hogue Cellars, Barnard Griffin production

Rob and Deborah begin production of Barnard Griffin wines, with about 400 cases produced

Deborah Barnard moves to Washington, Rob and Deborah are married

Preston 1978 Chardonnay awarded first ever 'Double Gold' by the Enological Society of the Northwest

Preston Pinot Noir awarded Best of Show at Washington County fair in Hillsboro, Oregon.

1977

Rob moves to Washington State as winemaker at Preston Wine Cellars. At this time there are under ten wineries in Washington

1975

Rob Griffin graduates "Cum Laude" from U.C. Davis with degree in 'fermentation science'
