Vintage Notes
Aromas of pear and tropical fruit are backed up by herbal scents of fennel and toasted French oak. The 2004 Semillon has a soft acidity and a rich lingering palate impression that create a wonderful compliment to fresh shellfish and poultry dishes. Semillon has an outstanding capacity to age.

Vineyards
The 2004 vintage year was a perfectly typical Washington State vintage: a warm summer followed by a cool but dry fall for longer ripening. The wines from 2004 are generally ripe and full with both good acidity and sugars at harvest.
The 2004 Semillon is composed entirely of grapes from the Caroway Vineyard located near the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers in Washington State. This is a cool site and escapes the severity of Washington State winters because of the proximity to the relative warmth of the rivers.
